Coach Bobby Newcombe has coach football, basketball, and track and field for nearly 12 years. Bobby coached receivers
and defensive backs at mesa community college in 2010, coached wide receivers at Basha high school in 2016, and has coach multiple youth sports teams over the years.
Bobby is no stranger to the sports arena. Bobby played many different sports throughout his own youth focusing on the three (football, basketball, and track & field) during his time at Highland high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received a full ride football scholarship to the University Nebraska to play quarterback and wide receiver and ran indoor track. Bobby was a part of the 1997 national championship team and to this day holds the Fiesta Bowl punt return record. Bobby was drafted do the Arizona Cardinals in 2001 and spent a year in NFL. He then played in the Canadian football league before deciding to retire.
Bobby earned a Bachelors of Science in Management in three years and decided to continue his education. He earned another bachelor's degree in Information Technology, a Masters of Business Administration, a Masters of Education Secondary Education and a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership. He also holds an Advance Software Developer certificate and career and technical education (CTE) certificate. Bobby continues to teach college courses encourages others to advance your education and take advantage of opportunities to make meaningful contributions to society.
As for Coach Newcombe's family life, he has been married for 19 years to his wife Rachel and his has four boys (Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 15, Micah 11, Jonah 8). With four boys Bobby realized he was meant to re-enter the sports arena and become a mentor for not only his own children but others as well. His passion excitement for coaching is amazing to witness.
